The Las Vegas Raiders’ Monday night start was remarkable considering that it came largely with no standout tight ends Darren Waller.

Waller was removed from the field with a hamstring injury Monday night, after only six games against the Kansas City Chiefs. Waller was injured in the first quarter and left the field to go to the sidelines to start the second half in street clothes.

The evening was a success for the former Pro Bowler, with no catches or targets and five routes running on six snaps. His last snap was on a fourth and 1 play in the first half that ended in a Derek Carr Davante Adam 58 yard touchdown pass.

Waller was absent for much of the quarter, earning a questionable classification before being allowed to go.

Waller reached an agreement on a $51 million extension three-year deal. Waller had 16 receptions for 175 yard and a touchdown in his four starts leading up to Monday.
